Ok so Interclass have come into an end. the boys got into top8 which was expected and lost to 1G 8-24. but not bad liao la at least they didn't get alot of point from us.

Anyway congrat to the girls for getting the best they can today which was 3RD! (FYI, they played really well if you were not there today.)

Just to make things simple. I won't add any colours or embellishments to my post this time round. haha. ok. here's the thing. the science file check is on 30 SEPTEMBER 2009, WEDNESDAY. i'm not bolding it, so please take it down in your hps or sth.

Like what mdm rozana has declared, it is officially NOT me/diane's job to collect your files. you know i've collected, gave back and ran here and there so much that my height is stunted now T.T and all of you know how SHORT i already am....so please have some sense of pity and LET ME HAVE A BREAK!

*drying tears* ok. just in case some of you forgot, you have to submit your files to the Science Lab by 3pm on Wednesday, 30 September 2009. There will be a box that Mdm Rozana will place at the Lab, and all you have to do is drop your files in.

OH YEA. one VERY VERY VERY IMPT thing. you guys have to find 3 articles related to Biology from the internet/magazines/newspapers, cut/print them out, and write a reflection for each of them. please do it. it's 3 marks worth, and the marks go into your CA2 marks. it could make a difference from a C to a B, ok? and that will greatly affect your GPA too >.<

Hey hey Ecrusians!

Here's some news for you! ;D

Teacher's Day is approaching!! Whee~

So happens that our teachers-in-charge for that day, is Mr Tan, our form teacher, Mrs Wong, our history teacher and Mdm Noorizan, our Malay language teacher. Hahaha.

Anyways, as part of the celebration, we have a FIESTA! which is some potluck thing.

Welll, thus you guys have to bring some food! Why? Coz that's the only thing you'll have, food that the class brought!

There are many things you can bring, of course.

Snacks like potato chips, or crackers, but not too much of course, don't want a sore throat (: Drinks can be in bottles or packets, I think our class needs a lot of drinks, don't we? Finger food like fish balls, nuggets, sausages, curry puffs, anything, this is easy to eat i suppose. Staple food! Rice or noodles. Well if you want to bring WHITE RICE... hahas! Pastries are welcome too! Cakes, puffs, kuehs, cookies, anything!

So, you're not really restricted! Feel free to suggest anything!

However, as you know, our teacher-in-charge, Mdm Noorizan, is a Muslim, thus i think the food must be halal.

Oh yeah, and the canteen would not be in full operation that day...

Alrights, just for all of you to know okays? ;D If you would like to contribute in bringing anything, please approach any of the class comm members and tell us so we can see what food going to be brought. You wouldn't want just some sausages and potato chips, would ya? Heehee.

On Week 8, we're gonna have a Science Practical Test on Diffusion & Osmosis, so y'all have to grasp the concepts of these 2 processes really well by Week 8.

If y'all need additional help, log on to Moodle and click on Mdm Rozana's Bio Portal. She's uploaded some really useful websites that will really help in understanding Diffusion & Osmosis.

Alrights, according to our chairperson, everyone has to come out with a dollar for teachers day. So yeps=] But dun worry, if you have like...financial dfficulties or somehow really dun feel like coming out with the $1 then you can tell me=] I'll definitely try my best to help you, and if worse come to worse then i shall help you to fish out the money=] But since its only a dollar, then i really hope that you can do it, cuz its instructed by teh school, but if you really cant or dun wan, then ha, nvm lah=]

Hehe being the Science rep, and since I have nothing better to do, I'll share with you some of the stuff Mdm Rozana told me and Diane about the Cells Job Scope Poster thing.

Here are some pointers:
1) The points under job description must have a relation/connection to the points under job requirements o.o
2) Job description comes before Job requirements (:
3) Don't make your font size for your sources too big (that is, if you have sources listed) - ask diane what font she used...its the right size
4) Make your title short, sweet and to the point

You'll just have to find the picts (can be hand-drawn or extracted frm net), save it into your thumbdrive and bring it to school during the 1st computing lesson in term 3=] You can use the photoshop in sku if you dun have the software at home=]

2. LA creative writing:
Well, you can either do a short story or poem. I guess short story is something like the composition we write in primary school, so jyjy for that=]

3. E-portfolio:
Yeps, for this, you just need to do the reflections. Oh yes, dun forget to provide artefacts=]]

Erm, Vernetta here. Long time nvr post liao.

So anyway, I just want let you all know about this MASS GATHERING that is organised by our beloved 副椅子(Ranice), Jovan, Xiyu and Me.

So anyway, this is a MASS GATHERING. And we use this term instead of CLASS OUTING is because…

1. This gathering is OPTIONAL. But it will be appreciate if you can come.
2. We DON’T have to invite teachers (especially ***).
3. There will not be any games or itinerary for the day, so its kinda like free and easy.
4. Its just for us to gather around, have some fun and catch up during the holidays, you don’t have to do it with the WHOLE CLASS. Just a few of your good friends.

So that’s the few reasons I think. (anymore arh Jovan?)

I don’t think theres anymore. But I hope you all get me. So the venue and time and date are STILL NOT COMFIRMED. (sorry arh) But most probably…

Venue:

- Downtown East (KBOX, Bowling, Escape theme park, Wild Wild Wet, Cinema)
- Pasir Ris Park (again)
- East Coast.

Date:

- Week 3 of Holidays; 19 June, Friday.

Time should be from 1 plus to about 7-8 plus. Not too late, otherwise later mother complain. Jovan plans to let everyone have dinner together, but then still cannot find suitable place. So if got any suggestion, please let us know. (Don’t chat about it on the tag board, cause I don’t really check the tagboard. )

Recently, I came across 2 really encouraging quotes, and would like to share it with all my precious brothers and sisters of 1Ecru 09!

These 2 quotes basically mean that all of us have to care and show concern for one another in order to receive other people's care and concern. I really think these quotes applies to our class, since the bond between the guys and girls isn't that strong.

Last day of school (for semester 2) has ended...come to think of it, tyme really files, we've been together as a class for around 5 months now havent we?=]

Well, alot of teachers are leaving as so far, namely, Mr Hong, Mr Tan (geog), Mrs Ezra, Shen lao shi, Mrs Wong, Miss Tan, Mr Ramu, Miss Kiw,Ms Phua, Mrs Goh...Wow...9 teachers. I'm not so sure if any will be teaching us again though...Lets just cross our fingersXD

Anyways, how is your GPA todae? Dun worri if you score below expectations, its the effort you put in that counts. JIAYOUS! study hard for term 3 durin june hols and you sure can score above your expectations! Dun feel dissapointed, you cant change the fact now, can you? So, look ahead, look at the things that you can change--the future is in your hands, and failure is the mother of sucess. hey heys, yes, my 2nd post. n this time, a notice. well u see, there's this LIT UP singapore 2009 Young Writers Festival- Write Stuff competitions. n i was supposed to pin these 5 pieces of paper with descriptions of the competition today only coz i juz received them from ms phua today. BUT i realized that if i pin it up like that, its for who to see ah? LOLS. so i brought home and thus shall post it here. THERE IS 5 by the way... so thats alot... gosh... shud i split into a few posts, or put all in 1... haiz... will type details below.

1. PLAYWRITING COMPETITION

Pick up a pen and write a 10 minute play for The Write Stuff Playwriting Competition. You may then stage a play based on your original work under the The Write Stuff Drama Competition!

Haiz. I feel so sad that Mr Hong is gone!! And I'm sure all of you share that feeling with me. He's been really a great teacher so far, and we really ought to thank him! Ello!!! wow, no posts since so long. LOLS. anyways, how is things??? HAHA, random question. coz we have gotten back our science, LA, math, chinese, acc (anymore?) marks and i hope all of u r satisfied with them. if ur not, continue to work hard! ur efforts wont be in vain de! heeheehee. ^^

Next thing, today i pinned up ur NAPFA 5 items results on the notice board for all of u to check whether they are correct... many of u have told me that for SHUTTLE RUN, u didnt get the correct no. of points... i went to look for ms lee, and she said that on monday, she would give me the form again, and then look throught it again and circle the errors... yes yes... n then u would have to sign

Haha, what happened to YELLOW? hahas, ppl say cannot see so i deleted it away from the colour arrangement. LOLS, now u all dun have to so xin ku highlight. LOLILOLILOLS. so anyways, we have 2 more test to go!!! History and LA... both essay-writing derh... hahas. sigh... history study what ah? lols, LA muz read animal farm hors! then can understand better i guess... but be careful! coz part a, u only can take info from the provided passage! part b then u can use what u noe from the book kk? :)

hehe, after that then we're freeeeeeeeee! lols, maybe not... coz there's such a thing as HW. hahahas. Hey all, the movie marathon details have been slightly altered... so i shall just copy paste from the email the relevant details as my hands are aching d, from msn-ing and from the 3 posts just now. LOLS. jkjk. n it involves thinking too, and switching from window to window. LOLS. cut the crap, and i shall show u... then again... i'll only pick out relevant parts.

The booth will open UNTIL Wednesday, 13th May, 5pm. This is when all sales stop and there will be NO more ways to get tickets. So better get your tickets fast kays?

Oh n fyi, i think the test is on WEDNESDAY... hahas. Oh another thing, by the way, i have typed out and sent out to ur dhs mails the mind map on plate tectonics theory so remember to go look at that coz that info is provided by geog teacher ;D

So here are the details for the CT2 test:

Date: Term 2 Week 8 (i think wednesday, day 8)
Duration: 45mins

TOPICS COVERED:
1. Map reading skills (4 & 6-figure grid references, directions, compass bearings, symbols, scales, distance, contours) [ TB 1B ]
2. Rocks (3 types, rock cycle, common types of rocks in Singapore) [ TB 1C ]
3. Landforms (types of landforms, plate tectonics theory, 3 plate movements- resultant processes & landforms, folding) – including examples (such as names of fold mountains & the plates involved) [ TB 1C & given handouts ]

Marks: 20
Format: Short-answer questions & structured questions
Materials needed: calculator, string (at least 30 cm), protractor,
pencil, ruler (NO SHARING!)

Please complete the revision exercise which has been given out to all classes, including the WB exercises indicated on pg 3. Your Geog teacher will go through as part of revision before the test. This test will be included in CA 2. Your CA 1 marks are already being calculated.

The NDP committee has organised a series of National Day Celebrations events and activities to engage all Singaporeans in this journey of understanding the Singapore Story better. One of the objectives is also to engender conversations on nationhood and togetherness through multiple mediums. "My Pledge" is a film competition organised to promote deeper reflection of our much recited national pledge. It is an inaugural project of the "Short Films @ SG" series which encourages Singaporeans to reflect, discuss, express and embrace our Singapore identity through film.

Hey ecrusians!

I 'm just here to give everyone some encouragement for Tuesday^^
Hahas, as u all noes, there's 5 Stations NAPFA, Geog Test (either tues or wed, but i'll take it as tues in this post), and NSW science (some) on tuesday, and thus, its gonna be really hectic on that day, and as i learnt from some tags, geog is a much hated subject by some people.
But, no matter what, dun eva give up! With the power burning in us, i am sure all ecrusians can derhs! You all can do it!^^
For the past few weeks/days, we have been busily practicing and revising on NAPFA and geog, and your efforts wun be wasted.=]] It will definitely be returned with results. So jiayous!
NAPFA, as you all noe, has points counted into class league. But please dun be bothered becoz of this if you dun do well.=] Class league points are not in the first priority. Most important is that must try your best, coz that's what counts.^^ ( i noe i am repeating, lol)
The same goes to NSW and geog. Although there is no class league points, however, if you do below ur expectations, dun feel bad yeas? 失败是成功之母。Continue to jiayous, and the next test, sure can score derhs!^^
Alrites, i hope most of you are ready for the "challenge" ahead. But dun worri, this is a "challenge" that i am very very sure you all can overcome wif a huge grin on ur faces, so JYJY!

okays, so yeps, everybody got bak their paper today......i am sure that some of you would feel extremely elated, some depressed whilst some without much feelings. But, i just want to let you all know that if your marks didnt meet ur expectations, its natural to get dissapointed over them, but dun stay in that emotion for too long. =]after all, didnt people say that failure is the mother of success? Just jiayous for ur next test, and i reckon that you will pass it wif flying colours derhs. Look forward, dun turn back. Let the past remain as history, and move on. Besides, what can dissapointment earn you? hahas. Cheer up.=]] You can do it.
As for the people who did well -- good for you!=]] Ur efforts have finally paid off!^^ Now, just 再接再厉and kip up the awesome work yeas? there's always rm for improvement derhs. JIayous to you all too!
Next thing, about NAPFA test, i have something awesome to announce. Your grades for napfa test are counted into the class league. and, turns out that for the 2.4, we appears to be ONE OF THE BEST classes for napfa! And for those who nids a retake for napfa, Ms lee said tat she will retest u all, and if you all pass, there wud be 100% passes for 1Ecru! yays! JIAYOUS! TRY YOUR BEST, WE BELIEVE IN YOU. if you fail, dun feel sry kays, most important is must TRY YOUR BEST. ^^ hahas=]] oh yeas, and if you wan ur napfa grades for 2.4, can go and approach ms lee, she wud be vry kind and nice to let u noe derhs. hahas^^

Ellos! hehe. So... got back so many assignments, tests 2day... Well, 1st was history... how did all of u do? hahas^^ aiya, no matter what u get, as long as u tried ur very very very very best then ok! I mean, history is considered a "new" subject introduced to us only this year, so dun like be SUPER sad kays? :) jyjy for the one coming up! :D Oh n in case u didnt hear, average is 6-7

Next is chinese! Hahas. Did u all find it easier? :) idk la... but same thing, dont be too sad about ur results, as long as u really really did study for it and did ur very best, coz sometimes, we do try our best, but things might not turn out the way we expect them to be ;D cheers! oh ya, average was 58 i think by the way.

LA! hahas, i think almost all of u guys did ok rites? some more is our 1st time having a timed practice (or is it graded assignment???) with summary! :D do ur best and jyjy! (but then i still miss mrs ezra lehs! hehehehehe) average is... er... idk lehs... did she say? ^-^

Yeah... today SHEN LAO SHI left! omg, so sad... i feel like crying... LOLS. im randoming. haiz... thinking back, we like usually never listen to her... but she was so patient and so u noe... understanding... rites? i guess so. just hope future hcl lessons will be good too! yes, yes, yes. ^^ haiz... 1 good teacher leaving one after another... Another thing is that, for level camp... yar, its CANCELLED, which i noe some of u r happy, some are not... but dun worry, im sure the school will try their very best (omg, i realized i have typed "try ur very best" quite a lot of times in this post. LOLS!) to do something about it... ^.^

Now we are just waiting for our science and math papers... wish all ecrusians good results! Hahas. Oh ya, upcoming test would be LA test and geog test, LA being on friday and geog, im not very sure. But anyways, im still wondering how we are going to study without our geog files! OMG!!! i think for the time being, as in during the weekend, use whatever materials u have on hand 1st kays? and then there is this er... how to say... classification table? idk but it has been given to us, as in 1 per class n i was thinking either we pin it on the notice board, or we have it photocopied for all of u. but i think the earliest u can get it will be monday... >< another option could be a few people copy down and then u all can pass around to ur friends to copy too, but thats... haha. so how? personally i think photocopy is the easiest??? :)

HEYYO!!! SO... TODAY WAS OUR CLASS OUTING!!! ahahahaha. Although the schedule was changed drastically, we hope you all really enjoyed yourselves thouroughly! Coz we did!!! I would like to thank a few people lar...

Vernetta, Carissa, Darius, Jun Jie, Hao Ze, Qing Hui and Murong (anyone else i missed out, please tell me!) :
You all went all the way to buy the food stuff! and then carried it to the bbq pit! THANK YOU SO MUCH and without you, i dont think we could have such a nice eating session. HAHA!

A BIG BIG thank you to all of you too! You guys (+ gal) were the ones who sweated (is there such a word?) infront of the smoky bbq pit, bbqing all the food for us! pei fu pei fu! wasnt it fun! LOLS!

However, no mattter what, we are not gonna let the weather affect the joyous spirit of our class outin rites? the class outin that we have all been anticipatin so much, the outin which we put our heart and soul into yeas? So dun worri, after all, we do have a backup planXD=]]

Ok, i come here for good news, and BAD news...

the good news is...

OUR CLASS OUTING IS ON FRIDAY, LABOUR'S DAY which is coming up soon!

we hope everyone of u can come if you dont have anything on on that day as this would be a great chance for us to BOND!!! We will have lots of fun with games, bbq, and more! Mrs Ezra, Mr Hong, Mr Lim, Ms Sim and Mr Tan KB (not geog de) will be coming too! ^^

Now... for the bad (but i hope not too bad...) news... so... this is what i found on the internet... (as the graphs and everything cant be shown properly, i shall type the important details out....

School has been rather hectic these days, with al the tests coming up.
There's two (maths and science) on week 7, and 1 (geog) on week 8...so , stupdy hard, JIAYOUS and hope that you all pass with flying colours^^
Alrights, the finalised class tee deisgned, i have passed to tkb, and he has received. So now is whether he wants me to do more tings, make changes or calling the supplier. =]
Anyways, u can always feel free to look for me if you want any changes to the class tee design^^
Another thing: WE HAVE MANTAINED 2ND FOR CLASS CLEANLINESS!!=]]
Yipees^^ now must continue mantaining yeas? Go ecru!! WE can do it!
Now, the class outing, is on THIS FRIDAY, and i hope u all can come!!=]] the more the merrier=]If you change your mind for those hu dun wanna come, can always let me noe derhs okays? ^^

AHAHAHAHA. I'm back. So, i got this sms from someone ( i shall not give names to protect this person's rights. LOLS! ) stating this:

YEPS! So, dont ask me why suddenly got this thing coz i have no idea. but really, if you people have any problems, dont keep it all bottled inside you lar. say it out, u will feel better ;D feel free to come to me if there's anything too kays?

Now since someone said im random, i shall tell u the reason y i have this post. in another message, it states:

The message is to make sure that your class know where they can seek help from 'cause there is a increase of number of pupils having difficulties of all types......

there's more but its not relevant to what i want to say so... in summarization,

i need to tell u people where u can get help.

Ah so... i shall tell u now. You can go to the school counsellour @ the counselling room, level 3, near the staff room. OR look for Mr tan, our form teacher at the staff room at level 3 too. Also, you can look for any of the class comm members ;) and of course, your own close friends and even parents. :DD

And thus, i conclude my post. I forgot to thank that person too for sending me the message to tell 1e. thanks. LOLILOLILOLS.
