Recently, I came across 2 really encouraging quotes, and would like to share it with all my precious brothers and sisters of 1Ecru 09!

This is the 1st quote: The best love that you can receive is the love that you can give away.
This is the 2nd quote: Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.

These 2 quotes basically mean that all of us have to care and show concern for one another in order to receive other people's care and concern. I really think these quotes applies to our class, since the bond between the guys and girls isn't that strong.

Hence, I hope these quotes will help all of you, guys and gals alike, to foster stronger ties with the opposite gender, and unite as 1Ecru, 1 Class.

Last day of school (for semester 2) has ended...come to think of it, tyme really files, we've been together as a class for around 5 months now havent we?=]

Well, alot of teachers are leaving as so far, namely, Mr Hong, Mr Tan (geog), Mrs Ezra, Shen lao shi, Mrs Wong, Miss Tan, Mr Ramu, Miss Kiw,Ms Phua, Mrs Goh...Wow...9 teachers. I'm not so sure if any will be teaching us again though...Lets just cross our fingersXD

Anyways, how is your GPA todae? Dun worri if you score below expectations, its the effort you put in that counts. JIAYOUS! study hard for term 3 durin june hols and you sure can score above your expectations! Dun feel dissapointed, you cant change the fact now, can you? So, look ahead, look at the things that you can change--the future is in your hands, and failure is the mother of sucess. Lets work towards sucess...TOGETHER! ecrusians are smart and clever beings, and we can do it, for sure, without a doubt.=]]

Haiz. I feel so sad that Mr Hong is gone!! And I'm sure all of you share that feeling with me. He's been really a great teacher so far, and we really ought to thank him! Though I don't know how...remember to say a huge HIII!! to him if you see him :) don't ignore him okay? Coz he deserves our attention :)

Anyways, getting back to the point. Just to tell all of you, please remember to bring your report books tmrw (that huge black book with 'cheng,xin,yong,zhong' in the front, and for those who left your history files at home, you have to let Mrs Wong check them tomorrow morning, as she came into our classroom to check the history files today. Haha, what happened to YELLOW? hahas, ppl say cannot see so i deleted it away from the colour arrangement. LOLS, now u all dun have to so xin ku highlight. LOLILOLILOLS. so anyways, we have 2 more test to go!!! History and LA... both essay-writing derh... hahas. sigh... history study what ah? lols, LA muz read animal farm hors! then can understand better i guess... but be careful! coz part a, u only can take info from the provided passage! part b then u can use what u noe from the book kk? :)

hehe, after that then we're freeeeeeeeee! lols, maybe not... coz there's such a thing as HW. hahahas. So here are the details for the CT2 test:

Date: Term 2 Week 8 (i think wednesday, day 8)
Duration: 45mins

TOPICS COVERED:
1. Map reading skills (4 & 6-figure grid references, directions, compass bearings, symbols, scales, distance, contours) [ TB 1B ]
2. Rocks (3 types, rock cycle, common types of rocks in Singapore) [ TB 1C ]
3. Landforms (types of landforms, plate tectonics theory, 3 plate movements- resultant processes & landforms, folding) – including examples (such as names of fold mountains & the plates involved) [ TB 1C & given handouts ]

Marks: 20
Format: Short-answer questions & structured questions
Materials needed: calculator, string (at least 30 cm), protractor,
pencil, ruler (NO SHARING!)

Please complete the revision exercise which has been given out to all classes, including the WB exercises indicated on pg 3. Your Geog teacher will go through as part of revision before the test. This test will be included in CA 2. Your CA 1 marks are already being calculated.

ATTENTION!~~~

1. You will not be tested on the things in Common Test 1.
2. map reading skills can be found in TB 1B.
3. rocks and plate tectonics can be found in TB 1C and the given notes.

The NDP committee has organised a series of National Day Celebrations events and activities to engage all Singaporeans in this journey of understanding the Singapore Story better. One of the objectives is also to engender conversations on nationhood and togetherness through multiple mediums. "My Pledge" is a film competition organised to promote deeper reflection of our much recited national pledge. It is an inaugural project of the "Short Films @ SG" series which encourages Singaporeans to reflect, discuss, express and embrace our Singapore identity through film.

Hey ecrusians!

I 'm just here to give everyone some encouragement for Tuesday^^
Hahas, as u all noes, there's 5 Stations NAPFA, Geog Test (either tues or wed, but i'll take it as tues in this post), and NSW science (some) on tuesday, and thus, its gonna be really hectic on that day, and as i learnt from some tags, geog is a much hated subject by some people.
But, no matter what, dun eva give up! With the power burning in us, i am sure all ecrusians can derhs! You all can do it!^^
For the past few weeks/days, we have been busily practicing and revising on NAPFA and geog, and your efforts wun be wasted.=]] It will definitely be returned with results. So jiayous!
NAPFA, as you all noe, has points counted into class league. But please dun be bothered becoz of this if you dun do well.=] Class league points are not in the first priority. Most important is that must try your best, coz that's what counts.^^ ( i noe i am repeating, lol)
The same goes to NSW and geog. Although there is no class league points, however, if you do below ur expectations, dun feel bad yeas? 失败是成功之母。Continue to jiayous, and the next test, sure can score derhs!^^
Alrites, i hope most of you are ready for the "challenge" ahead. But dun worri, this is a "challenge" that i am very very sure you all can overcome wif a huge grin on ur faces, so JYJY!
Revise and rest well yeas? I anticipate to see everyone passing wif flying colours on Tue's geog test. =]]

i just wanna elaborate on Annora's post.^^
okays, so yeps, everybody got bak their paper today......i am sure that some of you would feel extremely elated, some depressed whilst some without much feelings. But, i just want to let you all know that if your marks didnt meet ur expectations, its natural to get dissapointed over them, but dun stay in that emotion for too long. =]after all, didnt people say that failure is the mother of success? Just jiayous for ur next test, and i reckon that you will pass it wif flying colours derhs. Look forward, dun turn back. Let the past remain as history, and move on. Besides, what can dissapointment earn you? hahas. Cheer up.=]] You can do it.
As for the people who did well -- good for you!=]] Ur efforts have finally paid off!^^ Now, just 再接再厉and kip up the awesome work yeas? there's always rm for improvement derhs. JIayous to you all too!
Next thing, about NAPFA test, i have something awesome to announce. Your grades for napfa test are counted into the class league. and, turns out that for the 2.4, we appears to be ONE OF THE BEST classes for napfa! And for those who nids a retake for napfa, Ms lee said tat she will retest u all, and if you all pass, there wud be 100% passes for 1Ecru! yays! JIAYOUS! TRY YOUR BEST, WE BELIEVE IN YOU. if you fail, dun feel sry kays, most important is must TRY YOUR BEST. ^^ hahas=]] oh yeas, and if you wan ur napfa grades for 2.4, can go and approach ms lee, she wud be vry kind and nice to let u noe derhs. hahas^^

LA! hahas, i think almost all of u guys did ok rites? some more is our 1st time having a timed practice (or is it graded assignment???) with summary! :D do ur best and jyjy! (but then i still miss mrs ezra lehs! hehehehehe) average is... er... idk lehs... did she say? ^-^

Hehe so now about ROLE PLAY. It has to be handed in on the 1st LA lesson of next week, which is a wednesday. so remember to get it ready kays? you can refer to the previous post of ranice for more details on it. ;)

Yeah... today SHEN LAO SHI left! omg, so sad... i feel like crying... LOLS. im randoming. haiz... thinking back, we like usually never listen to her... but she was so patient and so u noe... understanding... rites? i guess so. just hope future hcl lessons will be good too! yes, yes, yes. ^^ haiz... 1 good teacher leaving one after another... LOLS.

Nows nows, about the erms... yes... the MATH MOODLE. amazing that i actually type it here coz i really... ok nvm, anyways, i think u have to complete ALL the GRADED E-ASSIGNMENTS there... which i noe... is quite u noe.... sitting infront of the computer, racking ur brains over the questions then sometimes can get headache rite? idk la... but really la, try ur best to go there, that kinda applies to me too coz my moodle assignments... u get it rite?

Another thing is that, for level camp... yar, its CANCELLED, which i noe some of u r happy, some are not... but dun worry, im sure the school will try their very best (omg, i realized i have typed "try ur very best" quite a lot of times in this post. LOLS!) to do something about it... ^.^

Now we are just waiting for our science and math papers... wish all ecrusians good results! Hahas. Oh ya, upcoming test would be LA test and geog test, LA being on friday and geog, im not very sure. But anyways, im still wondering how we are going to study without our geog files! OMG!!! i think for the time being, as in during the weekend, use whatever materials u have on hand 1st kays? and then there is this er... how to say... classification table? idk but it has been given to us, as in 1 per class n i was thinking either we pin it on the notice board, or we have it photocopied for all of u. but i think the earliest u can get it will be monday... >< another option could be a few people copy down and then u all can pass around to ur friends to copy too, but thats... haha. so how? personally i think photocopy is the easiest??? :)

please prepare a simple role-play/presentation/skit/song (to your discretion) for your lesson on FRIDAY. this will not be graded (yays), just to help you understand your major events better. You are to form grps of 6.

• pick 3 sig. examples from the novel to put into your presentation. (for those with a specific event alr, you will have to cover EVERY that is related.
• Apart frm mere summarizing, each presentation needs to bring out one/two major ideas of your novel represented by ur topic.
• Do one mindmap of one character. Each grp to submit 1 mindmap on FRIDAY. XD
